Owen Duggan’s songwriting is inspired by the folk music of his native Canada. As a performer he is at home with folk, jazz, and classical. Owen’s CD An Elephant Never Forgets has won awards from National Parenting Publications (NAPPA Gold 2006), Parents’ Choice (Silver 2006), and Children’s Music Web (Best Song for Infants & Toddlers and Best Song for Preschoolers, 2007).

On the album Owen sings and plays banjo, guitar, tin whistle and xylophone. Recorded in San Antonio, Texas, he is joined by some of South Texas’s finest musicians including Ron Wilkins tuba/trombone, Barry Brake piano, Darren Kuper percussion, RB Blackstone keyboard and Grammy winner Bobby Flores on fiddle.12-year-old Jonathan Fox plays Dobro on “I Got The Baby Blues” and singer Kami Huyse joins Owen in a duet on, “If I had a horse.” Owen’s mother Anne Duggan contributes three original songs including, “Lady Bug.”
