Monty Harper

"The songs were delightful. The kids were engaged and entertained. The centennial theme was right on! You can't go wrong booking Monty Harper for the elementary school age group!" - Rhonda Turley, Librarian, Piedmont Public Library
Monty Harper

Monty Harper is an award-winning singer/songwriter. His songs tackle topics ranging from the scientific (dinosaur behavior, planetary motion) to the terrific (pet dragons run amuck, book-gobbling monsters, singing bugs) and everything in between. Harper is one of the growing number of musicians who take their goofy kids music very seriously. Harper aims not only to entertain them, but to engage and challenge them, as well.

Harper began performing for kids with a silly song or two in 1989 when he was studying for his Masters in Mathematics. He performs in schools, libraries, and festivals throughout the Midwest. Harper’s recordings and songs have won many honors and awards, including Parents’ Choice, iParenting Media Awards, NAPPA, Children’s Music Web, and many others.
